SPÉCIALE PARÉOS

French Polynesia is the land of pareu (pareu is a polynesian word).

That's why our top product, unanimously approved by craftsmen of all polynesian archipelagos, is an ink specially designed to traditional pareu dying.

Applications

This ink is ideal for such techniques as heliography, salt effects, folding, knotting (mahaju), and serti or batik. It is designed for white, natural or mixed fibers fabrics.

Properties

Fluid though highly concentrated, this ink provides bright and brilliant colors.

Its spreading properties allow beautiful effects, like graduated shading from colors to white or to other colors.

It is quite resistant to light exposure and rubbing.

Tools may be washed with soapy water.

This product smells nothing and contains no dangerous solvent and no lead or heavy metal compounds.

Instructions for use

This ink may be used as is or thinned down with water (up to 15 amounts of water for one amount of ink). To paint large areas without risk of making rings, do not dilute more than 5 per 1. If you want a lighter shade anyway, you have to lighten first the ink by mixing with some "Base de coupure Spéciale Paréos".

All our colors may be mixed with each other, so you may create an infinite number of new shades.

Fixing is obtained, after complete drying,  by ironing 5mn in cotton position, without vapor. Normally, a long drying under a very hot sun may be enough, but please make a test before.

48h after a good fixing, colors will resist machine washing less or equal to 40°C.
